S.A.V.E. - O.N.E. was founded in 2001 after Bishop El Hage, a bishop in Lebanon and friend of some of us here in Buffalo, reached out for help. His orphanage was in dire need of help. Since then, we’ve run fundraisers for 20 years and sent money to help multiple orphanages around the country make renovations, expand to allow for more children, and bought new school supplies, books, and material to help them.

 

In the last few years, however, the economic situation in Lebanon has collapsed. Our little funds used to go a long way in addition to the government funding that they had received. That is no longer the case. Now, more than ever, the children in Lebanon need our help. We are committed to sending as much money as possible over there.

 

As of late, we have been working with St. Vincent - The Sisters of Charity, an orphanage located in Baskinta, an idyllic village in the mountains of Lebanon.
